Update on Chloe

Chloe has been doing a lot of things lately that just make me stop and realize that she isn't a baby anymore and it really has hit me hard. The thing that makes me cry (not a bad cry) the most is that she wont eat in her high chair anymore. The past week every time we put her in it she just throws a big fit and wont eat. I didn't think that it was the high chair that was bothering her because she has been sick the past 2 weeks and I figured she was just feeling so bad she didn't want to eat. But last night her daddy was getting her dinner, since I was sick, and he thought about trying something different. He sat her down at a little table and put her food and fork down in front of her and she went to town. She ate all her food for the first time in a long time and was so proud of herself. So this morning and this afternoon we had to eat at her little table. I know it should make me proud of her but it really makes me kinda sad because my little girl isn't so little anymore. Another thing she is doing is she is getting better at letting us know when she needs to use the bathroom or when she has just gone. It wont be long before she is using the potty all the time! A few other things she is doing is: walking up and down the stairs, climbing up into the van with out help, helps wash her hair and body and rinse off, gets undressed with almost no help, helps dress herself, can do animal sounds and train sound, can repeat some Spanish and Chinese words, will bring you what you ask her to bring (as long as it is in eye site lol), and much much more that I just can't remember at the moment.

Right now she is sick, like I said earlier she has been for about 2 weeks now and just doesn't seem to be getting better. I took her to the Dr on Monday and they said she might be on the verge of pneumonia and gave me an antibiotic for her. Sadly she hasn't gotten any better and at times she is worse. I am taking her back in later today to get looked at again. I will update on that when we get back home.

Basketball!

Well today Lucas and Haylen had their first basketball games! Sadly I only got to watch Haylen play. Her team was having pictures taken when Lucas had his game :( But Marcus told me that he did really well and that he was really good at defense. His team lost but did really good. I am looking forward to getting to watch him play next Saturday. Haylen did a great job at defense as well and she also made a basket! Everyone on her team screamed and jumped for her and one of the other girls on the team ran up to her and gave her a big hug! I had been recording almost all of the game but of course when she made the shot I was in the middle of saving what I had just recorded so I didn't get it, but at least I saw it with my own eyes. I have some pictures and lots of videos but I have to sort through all the video and find the good ones, which might take a long time seeing as all the videos are only 1 min each lol. Well I will load the pictures and videos soon!

Long, long, long over due update

Wow it's been a very long time since I have updated this. I am sorry to anyone who has actually checked on this regularly. I am going to try and keep this updated again. I guess it's time to play catch up.

Since May we have only had a few changes. Biggest of all is in September we moved from our first home together to a new town home. It was a much needed move, we were all very cramped in our old house. We still have the same number of bedrooms, but we have more bathrooms and a lot more room. It is a 2 story home where all the bedrooms are up stairs and the rest down. It has given us a much larger living room and a dining room which we did not have. Finally we can all sit down at a table together! Last of all it gave us a fireplace! We have enjoyed that very much this winter.

Other than the move everything has been pretty normal stuff. Lucas is now in 4th grade but he is in GT so he is doing 5th and 6th grade work. He loves it all and he has also joined a basketball team. He hasn't had a game yet just practices. Haylen is in 2nd grade and doing 4th and 5th grade reading. She has also joined a basketball team, she has had a game but she missed it due to being in Iowa visiting her mom. Keaton still isn't in school because he wasn't 4 by the cut off for Pre-K and we didn't get the paperwork filled out in time for him to go to Head Start. He will be going to school though next year and is very much looking forward to it! Chloe is right on mark and maybe a little over for her age. She is talking and working on potty training already. Marcus is still working at Sherwin Williams and working on his writing. I am still a stay at home mom, but I did take a math class at the college during the fall semester. I am taking the spring off though but will be back to taking classes next fall.

I wish I could say we have all managed to stay healthy but I can't. We all managed to be sick one right after the other with the Swine Flu back in late September and early October. Luckily we all got over it without having to go to the hospital. It just took about a 3 or 4 week chunk of time out of our lives. Thankfully none of us have gotten sick since except for the sniffles every now and then.

Today Chloe is turning one!!! I can't believe that is has already been a year, it really only seems just like yesterday that she a newborn. We are going to be having her party on Saturday so the pictures will be posted on Sunday. She has grown so much this last month it is crazy. She hasn't had her one year drs visit yet, that will be tomorrow, but she did go to WIC last week and she weighed in at 22 lbs and was 31 in long. They couldn't believe how tall she was there. They honestly acted like they were worried about it which is silly lol. She is doing so many cute things now. I try to catch as many as I can on camera or on video but when I start to get either of them out she stops.
Here are some of the things she is doing:
She is walking everywhere!!
She is trying to run but she gets so worked up she ends up knocking herself down.
She jibber jabbers all the time!
She can say mama, dada, bubba, hi and random words from time to time
She loves to close doors in peoples faces
She tries to get into the bath tub alone lol
When music she really likes comes on she will start waving her arms around we cant tell if she is trying to dance or direct the music but it is cute either way
She doesn't want anything to do with me or Marcus when her brothers and sister are home.
I'm sure there is more but I can't think of anymore at the moment.

I will be posting pictures and more about her birthday over the weekend. I am also going to get her in this week or next week for her First Birthday Pictures.

Easter and 11 months

Well today was Easter as most of you know lol but it was also 11 months ago today that lil miss Chloe came into this world. I can't believe that in one month she is going to be a year old. It just doesn't seem like it's been a year. She has grown so much it's crazy. She is walking more and more and every now and then she will try and take off running. She normally doesn't get very far when she does that but sometimes she can make it pretty far. We had a pretty good Easter it was very busy. We didn't do an egg hunt due to the weather and also we did one last Sunday with all the in laws. I have pictures of that which I will post either tonight or tomorrow I also have pictures from today so keep an eye out for them!

Just a little update on the family

Hey guys! This post is just going to be about somethings that have been going on with us. We have had 2 pretty major things happen to our little family and luckily they are both really great things!
The first one and by far in our minds the best one is on March 21st, 2009 Marcus and I gained custody of Lucas, Haylen, and Keaton!! They are living with us full time now and will be going to visit their mother during the summer and on holidays. This is something that we have wanted well for as long as we have been together. Kayleen (the kids mother) has moved to Iowa to live with her current boyfriend and to have another baby in July. We got very lucky that she gave in and let us have the kids. She wanted to take them with her but we just couldn't do that. We love them so much and can't go that long with out seeing them. The kids are handling all this very well. They get to talk to Kayleen whenever they want either on the phone or online and they spend every other weekend with her family. This has truly been a blessing from God.
The second thing that has happened is just as big but can't beat the first! On Sunday, March 28th, 2009 Marcus and I became members at Whaley United Methodist Church. We have been looking for awhile for a good church and we have been going to this one on and off for a few months and we finally said this is the one we want to stay at. It is a wonderful church and we are really looking forward to getting to know everyone there. This is a big deal for both of us seeing as neither of us have had any church ties. I will say it is a tiny bit bigger deal for me seeing as I have never been much a of church person. I never was really sure what I believed in. But when Marcus and I got together he started helping me find God and myself.

Well Chloe is now 10 months! Only 2 more months till she a year old and I just can't believe it. She has finally started to get more teeth. I saw the other day her 2 top front teeth have broken through and it looks like the ones on either side of them are about to break through. Poor thing has been in so much pain from them but she sure is happy they are there cuz now I'm letting her eat more. I didn't really take much pictures this past month so I really don't have anything to post but I will try and get some taken tomorrow.

Busy Week

This past week has been a busy lil week for our chloe bear. She has been working on walking for almost 2 months now but all she has been able to do is take one or two steps and then fall. Well today she really walked. She took about 6 or so steps between me and my dad. She might have even walked more if we had been further apart. I couldn't believe it! She also learned to clap at the right times and to wave. She is growing so fast it's crazy!

Chloe turned 9 months on Thursday!! I can't believe how much she is grown it is crazy. She is changing a little everyday. I don't know how much she weighs or how long she is because the Dr. couldn't get her in till the 26th. But I do know she is big for age, she has been wearing 12 month clothes for a month or two now. It is not because she is fat it's mostly due to how long she is. She is going to be a tall one like her daddy that is for sure. She still only has 2 teeth I figured by now she would have at least 4 but I guess not. She has taken a couple of steps with out holding onto anything and she gets so worked up when she does it she normally falls down laughing. Here are some pictures of her over the past month.

Well little miss Chloe turned 8 months yesterday! I can't believe that in 4 months she is going to be a year old. She has grown so fast and is doing so many things. She has two of her bottom teeth and she is acting like she has more coming in. She has been pulling herself up on things for a couple of months but for the past month she has been walking as she holds onto things. I can tell that I am going to be chasing her around the house pretty soon. I don't know how long or how much she weighs but I do know she is wearing some 12 month clothes. I dont have any current pictures uploaded at the moment but I will try and get them up sometime today!

Christmas 08

I'm going to be doing a few different posts tonight and this one is as you can guess from the title is going to be about our Christmas.
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We had our Christmas with Marc's family on Sunday the 21st. All the kids got wonderful gifts and had tons of fun with their cousins. Then on Christmas Eve my parents, Marcus, Chloe, and I went to see my brother Charlie for Christmas with him. Chloe had so much fun playing Charlie, she loves them so much! Lastly the older kids and my parents came over around 1 pm on Christmas day and we did our gifts. The kids got everything they wanted and loved spending time with their Grandma and Grandpa Links. This was Marcus and mines first Christmas as a married couple and also Chloe bears first one. We couldn't have asked for a better one! We took tons of pictures but I am going to try and not put lots on here.

Long over due update

Well it has been awhile since our last update and I'm sorry for that, I just have not had time to get on here and do an update. Chloe has been growing like a weed!!! At her six month visit she was 19 lbs even and 28 inch long. She was sick for almost 2 months straight. =( She went to the Dr a few times and they just kept saying it was a cold but I have never seen a cold last that long. But luckily she has finally gotten over it and is back to her happy healthy self. She also finally got in to see the neurologist. He said he was pretty sure that what she was having was not seizures but he went ahead and had her do an EEG. We still have not gotten the results back from that even though it was done on October 30th. But we figure since we have not heard anything that it is a good sign.

Here is a list of things that Chloe is doing.
She is sitting on her own, she is eating baby food and getting ready to move to stage 2 foods, she is crawling like crazy, she is trying to pull herself up but hasn't made it all the way yet just been able to pull herself onto her knees, she puts herself to sleep now, and she rides in the cart at the store now.

This is all I have time to post for now. I might add more later if I get a chance to. I am going to put the new pictures in a different post!

Weight loss help

Well here it is 4 1/2 months after little miss Chloe was born and I am sadly still at the weight I was when she was born. I originally lost 20 pounds after she was born but after I stopped breastfeeding it all came back and I have not been able to lose a dang pound since. I have tried to diet and I try to do some form of physical activity everyday but still nothing is working. I need some help! I have the Wii fit, but every time I pull it out Chloe throws a fit so I don't get to use it or if I do it's only for like 1o minutes. I think it would do me a lot of good if I could just use it. I am going to try and start scheduling in 30 minutes everyday or me to work out but that by itself isn't going to do everything I need a good diet to go on. That is a hard thing for me due to the fact that I am very picky about what I eat. Argh I'm just so dang frustrated and depressed about it all. If anyone has any ideas please please please let me know!

Crawling!!

Little Miss Chloe crawled for the first time today!! I had her down in the floor on her blanket and I had her ducky toy sitting out a little bit away from her to see if I could get her to crawl, not really expecting her to do it, then next thing I know she is almost off the blanket with her duck under her lol. I just couldn't believe it! I turned her around and she crawled across the blanket again! I honestly figured it would be awhile before she crawled due to her lack or coordination like her mother =) Of course though by the time I got the video camera out she was tired and did not want to do it again. I hope I will catch her doing this on video soon so y'all can see it! Well just wanted to pop on and let everyone know about our news!! Look soon for some silly pictures of Haylen and Keaton!

4 months!!

Well today my little girl hit 4 months! I can't believe that 4 months have flown by this fast. This morning we gave Chloe cereal for the first time! It was so much fun for me lol. She was a complete mess as you will see in the pictures and video. She didn't like it all that much at first but after awhile she really liked it and was trying to eat the spoon! I think she liked chewing on the spoon because she is acting like some teeth are trying to come in (thank goodness I already stopped breastfeeding lol). Anyway, I just wanted to pop on here and post some more pictures and the video of her eating!

Chloe update

I thought I would just pop on here for a minute and give everyone a little update on how Chloe is doing. She is still sick sadly. Her congestion got better for a day or two then it got worse and now on top of that she has some kind of stomach bug. Yesterday she couldn't keep anything down not even water. This went on for awhile so I called the Dr to see if I should take her to the ER or try and get in to see her, we ended up going to see her. She did her exam and said that there was a bug going around in kids right now and that is what she had. She gave us some drops to give Chloe that would help calm her tummy down. After we gave her those we were to wait a little bit then give her a teaspoon of pedialite and then if she kept that down have her lick on a pedialite pop. We had to do that a few times before we try and give her any real amount of pediatite or formula. Luckily the drops worked and she was able to keep everything down that we gave her. On a different note we finally got an appointment with the neurologist, it isn't until October the 9th, that was the soonest they could get us in. I'm just glad they can get us in at all. Her tremors have been going up and down. She will go a day or so with very few then she will have a couple of days where they are really bad. I don't normally ask people to pray for us but I would greatly appreciate it if y'all would keep her in mind. Well it's getting time for me to get ready for work. More pictures coming soon!

Quick little update

Well it's been a little while since I posted due to work and Chloe going to day care I spend every minute I'm home with her. But, I have some free time right now at work so I thought I would just pop on really fast and give everyone an update.
Everything went pretty good at Chloe's day care the first 2 days, but on the 3rd day she was sick. =( So I told them I would take her to the Dr. the next day. Well I ended up taking her to the ER that night because she was having a pretty hard time breathing. Turns out she had a really bad cold that had her really congested. the Dr. at the ER told me to start giving her drops in her nose and to suck it out, which she of course hated. We went ahead and kept our Dr's appointment for the next day so she could be looked at by her Dr. He went ahead and gave her some antibiotics and told me to continue the drops. He also said he was going to set up a visit for her with a neurologist because she had what he thought looked like a small seizures while we were there. That was really scary!! She had been having what I thought was really bad tremors for awhile and that is what she had while we were at the Dr's so now I feel bad about not doing something sooner about them. =( It has now been going on 6 days since and she is doing a little better with her cold and she hasn't been having the tremors as often as she was so that is a good sign I hope. We are still waiting on the appointment with the neurologist. Other than all that crap things have been pretty calm. She is growing like a weed. When we went to the Dr's she weighed 15lbs 6oz. Well I've got to go for now maybe I will have time when I get home to add some more pictures of her.

Well today I got a call from the hotel I am working those 4 days for. They asked me to work 5 days instead of the 4, which I said was fine. Then he said he really needed full time help and that he was willing to give me a raise and full time instead of just part time. So I thought about it and I went ahead and took the job. I really don't want to go back to work but it will really help out around the house and it will give me some time out of the house. I am going to miss my little girl so much though! I was kinda okay with her just being in day care for 4 days, but now she has to be there every day except for weekends. =(( I'm still super worried about the day care people not knowing what to do with her. I wish I could just find someone I trust that could watch her. that would make me feel so much better about going to work. But everyone I know works during the day. I hope after the first few days of her going I will feel better, if I don't it is going to make work so hard and I might end up quiting and I don't want to do that to them. Argh so confusing!

Daycare o.0

Well my little Chloe is going to be going to daycare starting on the 26th, luckly it is only for 4 days, but still it makes me very nervous. I am going to miss her so much those 4 days!! It is going to make me crazy with worry all day long. I'm going to wondering if they are treating her right or doing all the little things she likes done to make her happy. My biggest worry is what are they going to do when she gets fussy. Honestly most of the time I'm the only one that can calm her down and I wonder how they are going to deal with her if she gets really fussy. She has never been left to cry at all, which is my fault lol. I can't stand to hear her cry so everytime she starts I pick her up. She is so spoiled. One good thing though about her going to daycare is that it gives her something new to do. It will be the first time she will be around other babies and I really think she will get a kick out of that. I know she loves it when her big brothers and sister are around. Okay, well I'm about to start going into a ramble so I am going to end this for now.

Well today my little Chloe Beth hit her 3 month mark and I just can't believe it. It really does seem just like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant. Everyday I look at her and thank God she is here. As some of you may know I have a history of miscarriage and I was just getting over my 3rd one 4 months before I got pregnant with Chloe. So the first thing Marcus and I thought was that I would end up miscarrying this one as well seeing as how close it was to the other one. We were very nervous threw the whole pregnancy, honestly waiting for the worst, but it never came. I just couldn't believe it after everything that had happened I finally was going to have my baby! These 3 months have just been the best I've ever had and each day just gets better and better. She is truly my miracle and I can't imagine what I would do without her!
